Only time will tell with this one. Whenever you take big measures like the BCCI have it is hard to predict the outcome.

I think the selection of specialist coaches is a good step, and if Robin Singh can get the fielding up to scratch India will already be a much improved side. Ravi Shastri has an excellent cricket brain and should do well IF the players are open to his ideas. That will be the stumbling block - too many of the senior players are comfortable in their bubble.

The reduced endorsements should help focus the players, but this shows what the real concern is, almost an admission by the BCCI that the players are in it for money, not love.

The measure such as restricting the commercials to maximum 3 in a year and change in the match fee may to some extend help to improve the performance of the players. However, in order to build a strong team for the future, non-performing seniors should be dropped and talented youngsters should be inducted in the team. The best opportunity for the same will be the tour of Bangladesh.
