Here this so leader of the Catholic relgion, giving nothing more than a negative Speech saying nothing positive is happening in Iraq, Afghanastan, and all through Africa. But the Pontiff has never once visited any of these regions! He says absolutely nothing demeaning towards Islam and the Muslim religion. He does not ask once for the Jhad and Muslim extremest to stop twisting the Karan into bloodshed against the West or even against other Muslims. To me this Pope is a disgrace who sits mostly in hiding reading the NY Times. Benedict needs to stop going to the summer retreat, and go do some real healing in Iraq, Afghanastan, and through, Darfur, Somolia, and the Congo! Or keep his cowardly mouth shut!!

I agree. Fear seems to being getting in the way of him taking any useful action.

Politics and religion are kept separate by this Pope. That's what are Founding Fathers wanted, and that's a good thing. We can concentrate on the issues from their proper perspective when religious beliefs are taken out of the equation.

Take into account that the Muslims are told that Christians are infidels and must convert of be killed--I really can't see your rationale behind the Pope needing to visit the Middle East. They'd probably go after him with the same fervor a Bush motorcade would enjoy.

Well, I've never been to Iraq, Afghanistan or the regions of Africa you mention but I don't need to be the Pope to see what terrible things are happening there.
However, I will say that I have never seen the Pope, either, and in his case have no idea whether or not he sits mostly in hiding reading the NY Times - which you, apparently, do.

Since the Pope is a Christian he has to follow what Christ said: "...as we forgive those who trespass against us...". It is a shame that some Christians were absent the day when compassion was bestowed. The good news is they can always go back and redeem it! All they have to do is to embrace love and reject hate. Forgiveness is the way to do that.

If this is a satirical statement making fun of the boneheaded "if you're not with us, you support the terrorists" conservative ideology in our country (that's sinking fast, by the way), then congratulations. Hilarious stab at the Pope.

If you actually ARE one of those boneheaded conservatives, then congratulations. Equally funny.

More terrorism has been done by America, in order to obtain a set goal than by any other terrorist organization in the world. Bush is a mega-Hitler he is the worst world leader in the history of the world, and he and his friends are making lots of money off these wars. I think the Papacy is the 2nd biggest leader of terror in the world, look at the crusades, inquisitions. Hes a false prophet, and liar as well.

Apparently you missed when he outraged all of Islam by quoting a 13th century text.

You are just an uninformed bigot who likes mass murder, apparently. Who would Jesus bomb, big boy?
