Unfortunately an answer today will be out of date tomorrow. Currency rates of exchange are very dynamic.

Since you Yahoo!, add the Currency Converter to your My Yahoo! page.

Click on "Add Content"
Type "Currency Converter" in the search box and press enter
The top hit should be the tool. Just click on the "Add" button.

If you can't find the tool, send me your e-mail address. There is an "e-mail content" option.

Good Luck.

It depends on the exchange rate. At a hotel in the UK, you might typically pay a full $2.25 USD for a £ and in the US, a hotel might give you $1.75.

Right now, it is $1.9654 to £1. So, right now as I answer the question, (GBP) £18,28 is worth $35.93738 (USD) at the 4/8/07 rate. Also, most credit cards will charge a 2% fee.

In both my trips to London in 2006 I always Rounded to the nearest dollar! The Exchange Rate varied from 1.71 to 1.91 so I called ONE POUND = TWO DOLLARS!

That will be about accurate as there is always a fee for exchange!

Thanks, RR

At the moment, there are about 1.97 dollars in a pound. So:

£18.28 * 1.97 = $36.02 (approx) - with money you always round up iirc
