Was watching an older movie on tv yesterday morn, picture ok but enjoyed seeing a lot of older faces in it like Jack Lemon, Darren Mcgavin and Brenda Vacaro. What ever happened to Vacarro? Picture was Airport '77. Picture just ok since who ever heard of plane going down in water (submerged) and mostly everybody surviving?

She was last seen in Nip/Tuck and The War At Home.
You're right, I've never heard of a plane going down in water and mostly everybody surviving. BUT, I've ALSO never heard of one being submerged in water and everyone dying either. So it's not THAT far-fetched of an idea. I mean, an airplane is air proof AND water proof, so it obviously could contain people as long as there's still air to breath and there's no breach in the hull of the plane. But, then again, all the 'Airport' movies (from 1970 to 1979 they made about 5 of them) were a little creative & ridiculous (at the same time) when it came to 'bringing down the plane'. Airport '77 is no exception but for me the craziest one was (I think Airport '74) when the small single engine plane (who's pilot suffers heart attack) crashes into the front windshield of the 747, like a fly hitting the windshield of a car. And the small plane gets stuck there, sticking out of the front end of the 747, which loses compression causing the all-star cast of character actors to literally be blown away...LOL! All these subtle ridiculousnesses are what led the Abraham brothers to spoof these movies by releasing 'Airplane: The Movie' and 'Airplane: The Sequel'. It put an end to the 'Airport' series of movies. Now, it's time for 'Airport 2009'! LOL!
