I've been wanting a pet lamb recently, and have no idea where to start. I would like to get one towards the middle of the summer. Any help? How much you think it'll run me? just a little girl lamb. Thanks~

Check with sheep farms around you. They may have orphaned lambs that they want to get rid of. Flea markets also have lambs. You want to get the strongest, biggest, most robust lamb becuase lambs tend to be hard to bottle-raise. Goats are much easier, but are not as nice or cute. Good luck! Sheep are sweet animals and with enough attention it will be more loyal than your family dog!

Three acres is more than enough for a sheep. I even knew someone who kept one as an inside pet! Did you know they can be house-broken?

First please do some research on lambs and the older version sheep. I think most lambs are born in spring. You should also find a vet that will treat them and find out what shots they need and food ect...You should have shelter ready when you bring her home. I actuall had a pet lamb for a while and would walk her on a leash it would look to most people like I was walking a poodle.

Check with local farmers etc in your area. Are you sure you have enough room/money to keep a lamb? Don't rush into it!

If you live in the country, some flea markets will have them for sale during the warmer months.
