I know exactly how you feel. In high school, my best friend was incredibly gorgeous. She had long, straight blonde hair, was like 5'4 and weighed like 90 pounds.. guys used to flaunt after her all the time. It was really frustrating to watch a girl like her get all of the attention, when quite frankly, she had no personality and was less than smart. My advice to you is that you don't want to be liked by the guys that like these type of girls. They are superficial and aren't thinking with their heads. Wait it out, and you will find someone that will appreciate you for what you SHOULD be appreciated for, your brain and your personality. You will wind up with someone much better for you altogether.

I am 52 years old and I am answering a teenage question . Well for sure I have had some experience on the subject. I to was that kid till I found out that looks and smarts are in the face body and mine.The part that makes a lady is in her heart. No matter how built ,good looking, or smart she is if she don't have a good heart and can give fillings instead of being stuck up and into her self only then be smart yourself and move on. it is true some guys think with the wrong head and pay the price later ( Divorce )

Nikky had it right teenage guys are shallow & society & Hollywood has brainwashed them into thinking that even tho they are not a hunk that they can get a hot chick. So the overweight, smart, late blooming, shy, sheltered, proper, unpopular......, girls are invisible to them.
It is very rare that the hotter the chick, the worse the personality. I only knew 1 really pretty girl in high school that was really a great person. All the rest of the in crowd & hot chicks were hateful & egotistical, and mean in general. Not anyone a person could stand to be around more than a few minutes.

If the guy is smart he should. A lot of these not so hot, nice girls, aren't so nice once you take them out, and some of these girls turn out to be hot, nice, and great looking a little later. My wife was like the ugly duckling in her sophomore year of high school, the during her Junior year she turned into a swan. Upon graduating she was the best looking girl in the school; and there were 2600 other girls in the school.

Most guys are not so hot themselves but they are also not so smart. They want a girl they can relate to: someone on their intellectual level. An even match in academic ability makes for a better relationship. Don't dumb yourself down to seem more appealing to the less academically accomplished guys. But you know who the smart intelligent guys are - favor them and flirt with them. If you are equally smart, they will appreciate you and you will have a lot more in common.

Well some guys just think there so cool. They only go out with the hot girls cause they like them for there looks not there personality. I am not saying that all hot girls are bad it is just that sometimes the boys want only hot girls to be more cool. I think that the perfect man will pay attention to you because of your personality so try not to pay attention to the " i think i am so cool " guys cause they will never pay attention to normal girls like you.they will only pay attention to the attracive girls.

Because the guys are immature and insecure. They think that if they're with the "hot" girls, they'll seem "hot" themselves. The good news is that when they grow up, they grow out of it. There are lots of nice guys out there who DO pay attention to the "not so hot" girls. Keep looking ... and don't let the immature ones get you down!

well not all us guys pay attention to the face (or the body, if it matters) of a girl if she's hot or not, we also check out there personality.. but it would be rare nowadays to find one that is truly interested in you and is a real gentleman. don't worry though, it's not like a one in a million chance.. let's just say it's more of a 70-30 chance. after all, life isn't only run by chance alone, there's also fate.

Hormones.
Find a "not so hot" smart and nice guy. You will be happier in the long run besides they're the ones that go to college and get great jobs. If you get a chance take a geek. they don't stay geeks when they grow up and make mega-bucks.

Well, to answer your question in a simple way, teenage guy look at the appearance of a girl first before they make friend with them.
If you think that you dun look as attractive as most of the girls to attract the attendance of guys. Do something to improve your appearance, this might help.
Remember , dun over do things ....
