A zwitter ion is a molecule which has one negative charge and one positive charge ex a group NH2+ and COO-

they are highly polar and soluble in water

It is a dipolar ion, it is obtained because of transfer of proton ( H+ ) form -SO3H group to -NH2 group in sulphanilic acid.
