I will be relocating to Georgia (Atlanta) to complete training in the cosmetology field. I am an aspiring hairstylist and I would like to know any good salons/stylists to work under to gain my license. I am no longer eligible for financial aid or loans so cos school is out of the question. I know in GA you can gain your license by completing an apprenticeship program, but the required hours are doubled which is not a problem.

What salons did you apprentice with. Pro's and cons?
Thanks

Georgia State Board of Cosmetology License Information

COSMETOLOGIST: 1500 Hours, Apprenticeship 3000 Hours

since you have some hours from a different state for the school, check the state office for licenses to see if you can have less hours on apprenticeship with the school hours from the other state.
