Rocky 1. He lost to Apollo Creed but he went the distance.

Since Rocky Balboa is just a fictional character, then I must say that if the Screenwriter writes that he wins, then he wins. If the screenwriter writes that he loses, then he loses. If I were that screenwriter, I would have him win ;-)

The only thing he won in the first and sixth movie was the audiences affection. A moral victory.
