Hands down, Homer Simpson. He just has this stupidity sometimes that is too funny. Peter Griffin's too serious most times. With Homer, his stupidity is (obviously) greatly exaggerated for the comic effect but you can't help thinking that there are people who do act this way. That's what makes Homer Simpson funnier that that Family Guy dude.

Homer, I like the Simpsons' sense of humor more; its more varied. Homer you can end up liking in a really weird way, whereas Peter can be annoying for the entire episode. Maybe coz Peter is closer to reality... And reality sucks!

Since I don't watch the Family Guy show, I'll have to say Homer Simpson. Plus they've been around a lot longer, AND they have a new movie coming out....won't be surprised if he has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame soon lol.

It is a little known fact that the same actor plays both Peter and Homer. He just wears a little more fat padding to play Peter.
