Well Osama Bin Laden is from Saudi Arabia,and they help fund many of the mosques around the globe that are helping spread the "peaceful" message of Islam. I think that says it all to me,Saudi Arabia is no friend in the long run,they just like us now because we are a useful financial source.

Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Royal Family is actually the sworn enemy of Bin Laden. He set up Al-Qu'eda to overthrow it. This is what brought him into direct conflict with America.

I think that they have been paying "ransom" to these people/groups in order not to be attacked. The Saudis are weak in security, even though they have an Air Force complete with F-16 jets. The House of Saud keeps a lot of people poor and the wealthy are few and far between.

Saudi Arabia, despite it's hypocripsy, is still a great friend.
The Saudis provide oil, and are a great US friend. They also provided funds for the Contras in the 80's.
Some Saudi's hate America, so we need better PR in the region.

They support them before 9/11. This is my opinioon because the Saudis Citizen respect bin Laden. They state that he is a clean Moslem. Also, they considered international terrorism as politics not as a criminal enterprise.
