I cant sing and it puts me down!?

Question

I cant sing, and everyone laughs at me bcouz of it i have very little confidences anyway... so im relli down!! can any1 help me learn to sing and rise my confidence to a new high????

I feel the same way about my voice, so I know how you feel...I have a pretty low confidence and find it very hard to even sing by myself.....But you do have hope-just PRACTICE! My voice gets better as I do, and I take chorus to help. Good luck to you!! ^.^

Hun, sorry but singing is something you are born with, it's not an acquired ability. But why are people making fun of you any way? Chances are they can't sing themselves. Jeesh, most 'professional singers' today can't even sing. A couple of examples are Fergie, Brittney, Ashley Simpson.

Find what you are good at and study that.

Listen, I used to study music. I was a 1st soprano coloratura with a 4 octave range. The person that said that anyone can sing is wrong and is setting you up for more disappointment. Natural ability that was once lost can be re-acquired, but if you can't sing to start off with, you aren't going to be able to acquire that talent. But that shouldn't matter. Because everyone is different. Just because you can't sing doesn't make you less of a person. It makes those that make fun of you less then a person.

Find what you are good at and hone that skill. I wish I could be an artist, but I just don't have that natural ability, but I don't stress about it. You have a gift, you just haven't figured out what it is yet. Keep searching, you'll find it.

Everybody can sing with a little training if they can talk. You need vocal training - you can get a course at the library - try the "Born to Sing" course. The most important aspects of singing are in that course. You might not be able to get a job as an opera singer, but this should improve your singing. Be sure to take a deep breath, and be sure to do your vocal exercises and avoid the things that affect your voice - DO NOT SMOKE. You should consider getting a professional teacher as well - you might really surprise your friends.

P.S. Ignore the people that tell you that you can't - they don't know what they are talking about. Take lessons, and tell those losers to get lost.

Just sing, we are not all born with lovely singing voices.. A girl at work is so out of tune but i enjoy her anyway, it's funny and she makes me laugh which is a good part of her.... Now my turn.. I can't dance and too backwards and shy to learn.... I would love to know how to dance...

My sister loves to sing. Unfortunately she's terrible at it! But she still sings---for herself! She knows she's awful so she doesn't do it on a serious level. It's not her strength. She's great at a lot of other things she's good at and she focuses on them. Singing is a chance for her and I to goof around and have fun! Cheer up and find what your good at and still use singing as a way to make you happy!

if you cant sing just write songs or poems you can still make lots of money in the same field and you dont have to worry about the paparazzi

just dont sing in front of other people. then they cant say anything bad about your voice because they dont know what it sounds like. see the beauty in that?
