when i close my notebook computer while turned on after a hour or so it starts squealing like a pig What causes this is it right or is something wrong the only way i have figured to stop it is to pull out the battery (and yes the battery is charged i checked that) cause it even does it with the power cord in

If your notebook has a microphone it might be interfering with the speakers and causing feedback. My old laptop did that, so I just turned off the microphone in the volume settings.

there are a lot of things you must consider. if its the microhone they said, it should be squeeking at the time you closed it. i need to know the settings on your power option whenever you close the lid, does it go hybernating or shutting down or do nothing? is it a warning beep or a squeek that comes from the speakers. better yet, if you cant determine what the problem is, bring it to your nearest service center to have it check. dnt try to fix it by your self, ask someone who knows to avoid it making worse.

No this is not normal and you should send it to be checked. Before you do that check if the laptop makes sounds on hybernating...

could be your fan is not going properly. you'll need to replace it if it is. Does you laptop get a lot hotter now also?

your microphone might be set to high or to close to speakers
aspeakers might be to close to unit
a cell phone might be to close to unit or speakers
