liquid make up seems more transparent than cake type if that's what you mean with makeup/cakeup.
i hardly use those as it dries my skin and gives more wrinkles.
if for occassion, i'd use semi make up (like the lotion with tint; it would still dry me)

Just a light touch of makeup and little lipstick and light mascarre ,The more confident you are the less make up you need.Keep it as close to natural as you can.It looks better.
