i am presently in 11th and preparing to give iit exam next year .if i don't clear it next year should i drop back one year to give it again or should i continue with the remaining choices like some other college......plaese give a reasonable advice

dear,
first of all u should try to concentrate on JEE instead of thinking on which clz u will get. u r in 11 std. so u have 1 more year to study. use ur max.time on jee preps & others things are secondary. options of another clz will be decided on that time situation. if u will not selected for iit then keep on thinkig whether u can clear jee in next 1 year.if u then go 4 drop otherwise choose the best available options.
one thing more, if u will get adm. in any reputed NIT or in BITS, any good private or govt. engg. clz then choose very carefully otherwise don't compromise............

Go join other colleges, do not west a year. IIT has good name but there are lots of other good colleges. Look up my profile.

It sounds as though English is not your first language. Please get help with the correct usage of English before going to College. You will not get enough help at a college, but in a Highs School, you can get free tutoring.

My advice: do another year in High School.
