Centrifuge is a device used to increase the rate of sedimentation of suspensions. Used to separate solid, liquid or two immiscible liquids. The process is centrifugation. When a liquid kept in a test tube and made to spin at very high speed, the liquid and solid separates. Solid settles at the bottom.
