No, your observation is exactly correct. Weather has gotten warmer and colder many time over 100's of thousands of years as part of a normal cycle primarily influenced by the sun.

Global warming is very real and yes the earth goes through cycles as does the sun. Then you add in the human element and the cycle not only speeds up but intensives. Lovely mix don't you think.
A few folks still don't want to believe in global warming-fine-their choice. But can you guess who will be first in line for help when things get really bad?
You are either part of the solution or part of the problem-your choice.

No, my belief is that there is the coincidence of global climate change that is following a natural cycle of the earth and our pollution happening at the same time. This means that scientists can go ahead and say that we are causing global warming because they know that this natural cycle will not be reversed. They will end up looking right when we get a major weather disaster and there will be no way to prove that it wasn't pollution that is responsible.

For one we have only been around for a few hundred thousand years, two we have no records,in terms of someone literally from the past keeping it,to accurately decide weather not this phenomenon is true, but if our scientist can study reliable records that were made natural, that's good enough for me.,three,we are burning fossil fuel, faster than we can find it,a substance which contain carbonized gases and other gases that were lock away for millions of years by natural processes.
According to statistics there are six billion,{and still counting} of us,who depend one are some form of fossil fuel, what's worse, the natural process by which earth can, cleanness its atmosphere is being degraded {trees} so that's more green house gases, for you and me to breath, more heat to be tr aped,so that glaciers can melt, ice caps and polar ice are also included,oh and lets not forget a few islands in the pacific which are now being flooded by ever increasing tides,so what do you think from all this, and not to forget, even if earth's natural cycles were to be blame,it would have to be a more longer time scale, for you and me to live to see.
You cannot base you thoughts on small time scales, you have to think on a long term basis, the consequences,of actions today.
for humans in my opinion after watching documentaries, science reports and ect; are responsible ,whether we like it or not.
lets hope we take action sooner than later.

Despite the ignorant and desperate claims of the climate change deniers, there is excellent and solid evidence that the current rapid climate change is caused by humans.
This has now been confirmed by thousands of refereed studies, and reported repeatedly in the IPCC report and reports from other international groups of thousands of top scientists from more than 100 countries.
It is not just the same old climate change, it is not changes in the sun's activity. It is not a liberal plot. It is hard science, confirmed many times over.
Al Gore, a very smart and well educated man, got the science exactly right in his film "Inconvenient Truth." Fortunately, scientists all over America have realized this and faculty at over 1000 universities around the country have promoted showings of this film which will result in over 20 million school children seeing the film this month for Earth Day. At least those kids will soon have a much more realistic and accurate view of the situation than the folks who wrote most of these answers.

Green House Effect traps some part of the heat (solar)energy and maintain higher interior temperature and reflects remaining heat waves( InfraRed waves ) back to space ......with out Green House Effect it is not possible to sustain life on this planet as the average temperature of the earth will be -18C( with out Green House Effect )rather than 15C ( normal present temperature )
But by the Human activities....Green House Effect still increases as it going to absorb losts of heat from sun ... and reflecting back only a little amount of waves back to space ....which increases earth's temeperature more and more

10 years ago there was a lot more debate over this issue.
Because of the extreme changes in so brief a period of time, most scientists are now on board with global warming. ALl the industry and cars with their carbon emissions.

The human race is partly to blame for speeding up the process of global warming but we are not totally at fault for all of it. Ever since the end of the Ice Age the world has slowly been warming up all by it self.

Ever flown in a jet in the evening ? Seen all of the lights of human habitation and all of the cleared land ? All of those lights produced CO2 and all that cleared land DOESN'T clear the CO2 any more. Now think of all of the cars in a traffic jam in say LA or NYC putting more CO2 out. EVERY DAY , for decades.
How can people think humans can't influence the climate?

Yes.Because we are doing all the deeds against the rule of nature. We are destroying trees making malls creating the forests of concrete & and cleaning the forests.Using so many vehicles.Running so many industries which are again not echofriendly.Waisting the papers in so many ways.Using wooden furniture. Not friendly with wild life and animals also.It is really panic that we are not sensitive to our nature.
