good spark from coil to dist.-replaced dist cap-rotor-electronic module-pickup coil- whats left ?????

You only have the spark plug wires and the coil wire from coil to cap to go. These wires are the weakest link in the ignition system and are generally what is wrong with this motor. I suggest replacing the complete set of plug wires and using the GM replacement or Delco replacement kit as it is a quality kit and the wires fit into all the holders. Use the plastic holders as these keep the wires away from the hot spots of the motor. Some usually break apart, so try to get some new ones or fashion your own as it's important to keep the wires safe. Good luck.

Your spark advance must be computer controlled. I would first get an electrical schematic of how the engine sensors and ignition module interface to the ECM (Engine Control Management computer). The ignition module has to be triggered by a pulse from the ECM. So do you have a trigger pulse from the ECM to the ignition module? You need an oscilloscope to see if that pulse train is there.

sometimes the wires from the hei coil to the distributor are fragile. in the process of changing coils i have cracked or broke them .the plastic coating sometimes hold them to gather.

clean the ground wires check for corrosion under the insulation.

check.....your plug wire,s.............be sure your distributor is turning....check your timing.........be sure you have good ground ...distributor housing to block.
