My shrink had to go seek help after talking to me. Is that bad?

I don't have a shrink, but if they are anything like the stereotypical ones we see on TV, I would say yes.

Don't have a shrink, so let me ask you this ...
If a psychiatrist bundles up to go out into the cold, is s/he shrink wrapped?

It does make me wonder sometimes. Especially when you are not a religious person and the shrink you are seeing is a born again Christian and they are trying to testify to you.

I don't have a shrink, but most of them are more disturbed than their patients!

Well I would need a shrink first.. i've been to counseling though.. and well needless to say my counselor had more issues in his personal life then I ever thought possible for one person to accomplish.

They would pretty much have to be, im my case, if I had one. On the other hand, there'e not much a shrink could do for a person that a good friend couldn't.

i don't go to the shrink b/c i don't have health ins. and it is too expensive to afford on my own. i go to my regular doc for my pills. but yes when i did go to one, i did wonder what was wrong with him. i had to change my shrink a few times.

Everyone is disturbed...some just know the secrets of coping and have MD behind their name and can prescribe appropriate chemicals. A lot of "disturbed" people self-medicate (booze, dope, yoga lol)

Well the one I had a few years ago certainly was. He was trying to be a Buddhist, which I think was part of his problem. Not that there's anything wrong with Buddhism, but it made him biased against my faith. That kind of screwed everything up.
