To stina, yes I did ,I found a pigeon in the city centre and no one would help me with her not even our vet, so I took her home with me on the bus, I nursed her until the Rspca arrived , they put her to sleep before they got her to the vet, I still wonder If I had carried on looking after her that she might have survived under my care, She turned out to be a racing pigeon and was used to being handled.

You make me feel so very sad. I am sorry to hear that the racing pigeon died this way. Maybe it was a good thing that the people put it down maybe the pigeon was too injured to be saved. If you kept it at home with you the pigeon still could have died. Please dont feel too bad about this or don't feel guilty. It is not your fault my dear.

I just found a wounded bird a week ago while out on a morning exercise walk with a friend.
The bird was on the ground in front of some local shops. I went to a nearby bakery and got a box, put the bird in it, brought the bird home and called a ' wild animal rescue ' center that accepted birds and took the bird there. They told me the bird was a Starling.
I called two days later and was told that the bird appears to be healing well and would be released back into the area I had found him when he was fully healed again.
Every living thing has the right to live and deserves care. This Starling has it's chance to continue it's natural life. It brings me smiles thinking of him healing and flying again.

I found a squirrel that had been hit by a car once. I was on my way to work at a veterinary surgery, but unfortunately it died before I could get there.
And once I saw a group of guys kicking a seagull chick around - the memory still makes my blood boil. After I'd escaped (with the chick) from the guys who wanted to stab me, I kept the chick in my backyard for two weeks and fed it fish. It got better, learned to fly and left, I was really happy!
I would go to any lengths to help an animal in trouble, wild or not.

My family has volunteered for Reptile Rescue for the last three years. Reptile rescue was founded by the Jacksonville Herpitilogical society almost 20 years ago. We have rehabilitated and relocated countless injured Florida wildlife, and provided homes for exotics to live out their lives.Animal Control, Fish and Wildlife, and our local Humane Society and Sheriffs Dept.have worked closely with us for ages. We are considered by many in the field to have the best working rescue organization in the state.

Are you trying to tell us that you have found one? If that is the case, you should find a local wildlife rehabilitation center immediatly. Animal's health can deteriorate rapidly if they are not given the proper care and attention.
To find a wildlife rehabilitator in your area, try doing a google search, or check your local phone listings.
And to answer your question, I have found several injured animals. I work at a wildlife rehabilitation center. We get them all the time.

Yes, i have found many baby birds and have tried raising them. But here in my town, we have this lady you can call if you find a hurt or baby bird, and she will take them in and nurse them back to health.

Yes, lots, and if it's something that needs vet attention, I take it to the local Wires animal rescue people.
