See who has the highest card of that suit. Remember the best five cards play. So if one player has a card of that suit that beats any other card on the board then his flush is better.

For example:

Board: A T 9 6 4 of hearts. So there is already an ace high flush on the board.

Player 1 has 7 of hearts.

Player 2 has 3 of hearts.

Player 3 has Q of hearts.

In this example Player 1 has:

A T 9 7 6 of hearts.

Player 2 has:

A T 9 6 4 of hearts.
(Notice that player 2 could not beat the cards on the board so his 3 of hearts is useless.)

Player 3 has:

A Q T 9 6 of hearts.

So player three is the winner. With a flush it is the highest cards of that suit that win.

In this same example, if no one holds a heart higher than a four of hearts, then the pot is split between all those still in the hand.

Then highest flush would win.If the board is 2-5-j-8-k and there are 3 spades on the board and the one player has j-10 of spade and the other person has q-6 of spades, then the queen six would win, because they have a queen high flush and the other person has a jack high flush. Another example when the board is 2-5-j-8-A all spades, and one player has the king of spades and another player has the queen of spades the king would be the better flush. This is because they both have an ace high flush, but his king makes the better 5 card hand then the queen, so the player A would have the ace high flush with the king and the other person would have an ace high flush with a queen.

Highest cards in the flush.

A side note to dispute some of the answers given by others.

In poker, suits are not ranked. If there are two identical flushes (not possible in Holdem, by the way), it's a tie. One suit is NOT higher than another suit.

The hand with the highest card of that suit wins. If they all had the same hands exactly but with different suits, the one with a flush in Spades would win.

Whoever has the highest, second highest, third highest, etc card in the event of a tie. http://www.theultimatepokerguide.com explains these sorts of things in their rules in regard to ties. But basically think of it as a kicker, where whoever has the highest card in their flush after all the ties have been factored in wins.
