Many Christian traditions were purposefully scheduled (by the early Church) to coincide with pagan festivals and rituals. It was easier to convert the Heathens, it seems, if you can show them something that sort of resembles something they are familiar with...
How does the Easter relate to colored eggs and rabbits?
The egg is a symbol of rebirth. Pagans used the egg in their rituals welcoming the coming of spring and the "rebirth" of nature. This mirrors the Christ's death and Resurrection and renewal of God's promise to his children.
The rabbit is a fertility symbol. Fertility relates in the same way. A rabbit is an example of life's renewal in springtime, which is another reason why Easter is celebrated at this time of year.
The candy probably also relates in some way, but is just as likely merely a method for involving children in the complicated and hard to understand story of death and Resurrection.

The symbol of the egg is pre-Christian, it represents fertility and new life. When Christians were trying to educate people on the religion...2000 years ago, it was easier to educate them using symbols that people were already familiar with.
I asked around at Church too. Two interesting stories came up. One was that when Mary Magdeline was told to spread the good news that Jesus had arisen, she went to the apostles first, but then continued running and telling everyone. When she told an emperor that Jesus has arisen and is alive, the Emperor said, Jesus is no more alive than that egg in your hand is red...and then the egg turned red.
Next story...in the Bible it shows that the women went to the cave where Jesus' body was supposed to be and one of the Mary's there had a basket of spices (to annoint the body) and had also brought eggs to eat in that basket, because they didn't know how many days they would wait there until they could annoint the body. After the angel told them that he had arisen as promised, her basket of eggs had all the colors of spring in it, like a rainbow and the rainbow is a symbol from God assuring us life..his covenant.

Easter comes from Christianity don't let anyone else tell you different.
As far as the egg goes it relates to being born (like a chick)
As when Jesus died on the Friday (good Friday) traditionally you are meant to eat fish as he did for his last supper. Then 3 days later he was re-born on the Sunday therefore eggs on Sunday and fish on the Friday.
So where that person got the egg relates to the stone i don't know as the stones were round unless he buys some weird looking eggs!
But the whole chocolate thing is commercialisation gone mad.
Hope this helps you.

easter was originally a pagan holiday as explained by a couple people here. The reason it was turned into a christian holiday was to attempt to convert or assimilate the pagans into christianity... and no... the egg does not represent the stone rolled from jesus tomb....... and ofcourse one important aspect of easter is everyone waits at jesus tomb and when jesus comes out if he sees his shadow he goes back in the tomb and we have six more weeks of winter

comes from that tradition, claiming Mary, who had patrician rank, gained an audience in Rome with the emperor. She denounced Pilate for his handling of Jesus' trial and then began to talk with Caesar about Jesus' resurrection. She picked up a hen's egg from the dinner table to illustrate her point about resurrection. Caesar was unmoved and replied that there was as much chance of a human being returning to life as there was for the egg to turn red. Immediately, the egg turned red in her hand! Which is why Orthodox Christians exchange red eggs at Easter.

clone of Santa replaced into created by potential of Coca Cola... St. Nick replaced right into a real person who secretly introduced provides to families (the tale of Santa, Christmas approximately giving), together as the date replaced into merged with Jesus' beginning for some unknown reason, for the reason that Jesus replaced into born interior the spring. Easter by some potential got here to be linked with chocolate, whilst it fairly is rather the main superb non secular trip...

Easter predates Christianity. It is a pagan spring festival incorporating equinoctial festivals. Eggs and rabbits are symbold of fertility. "Easter" is from the same stem as "oestrus", the female fertile period. Christianity just stole the holiday.
They stole Christmas too from the winter solstice festival which is where the yule logs, mistletoe and holly come from.

Because its not a bloody biblical holiday!
The rabbit and eggs are a fertility symbol that was used in Ostara and other pagan holidays to welcome in the spring season...that is before you christian swine massacered these followers of the old ways and bastardized the holiday, along with x-mas as your own.
