I'm asking because there are so many different models that I want somebody else to steer me in the right direction. I play blues-rock, and have heard that the Silver Anniversary models (used by Joe Bonamassa) are the best sounding, but there are other Marshalls as well. The "Bluesbreaker" JTM45s are supposed to be cool, but I hear that their sound tends to vary a bit from amp to amp. So which one do you think would work best for me? I use all different kinds of pickups and guitars, so I use single-coil, P-90, and humbucking pickups. Thanks!

Hi again Paul. You play guitar and bass huh? I like my old Marshall VS265 but I would like to find a reasonable price on a AVT275. I too have heard the same things about the JTM45's. I do know that the newer Marshalls (Mode4) is a bit pricey, and I wonder what the new JVM series will run. May I reccomend you think about a Koch. It is without a doubt the BEST all tube amp , I have ever heard, and being 53, I've heard a few. The combos that they put out are killer. I have a friend that uses a Koch 50 watt head. He has to put it on a seperate surfaces when he plays, due to the vibrations of his 4/10 cabinet. I have recently been around the new Peavy Valve King series. They may be an import, but for the money, they are a very nice all tube amp. Most of my guitars are the old Ovation solid bodies, and I do own a couple of Hamers and a couple of the PRS SE series. I'm saving for a Koch. Hope you don't mind the second answer, but I can talk gear for hours. (Just remember the above comments are from an old man and should only be taken if you are desperate.)
