Is it possible to become a psychologist even though you don't have self confidence or self-esteem, you're naive and still not yet with a perspective on life...could I ever get to know this complex human mind so well...that I could even make a career out of this?

No! You will need to boost both self confidence and your self-esteem. Luckily The five year training will help yo to do this. The naive part - well get out there and learn what life is about. Again you will have time. Life is the best training ground for being a psychologist, the training is there to help develop a theoretical base and tool kit.

I strongly suggest that you learn NLP

As this has very powerful tools to help you and your future clients.

So to re-state NO! however you will be able to soon because you are on the path.

By the way - psychologists DO NOT diagnose psychological problems that is the job of the GP or psychiatrist.

Of course it is. Do you think that all shrinks have their life together because they've studied so much about the human mind? If only it was as easy as that.
Training as one will help you grow as a person and probably give you some answers.

Probably, have you ever known a psychologist to cure anyone? They diagnose symptoms, not resolve troubled lives.
