To error is human -- to forgive divine... but there comes a time when enough is enough.
You and only you can make that decision.

Until I can't take it anymore. But it depends on the person I'm forgiving. If it's s close family member : sister, brother, etc., then I'll try my hardest to forgive and make things right. If it's a friend/ boyfriend I'll forgive until I feel that there is no use and that I'm bieng played with ( that usually means twice ). As soon as I get that feeling, no matter how soon, it's goobye, and move on. Can't keep getting hurt and forgiving, you've got to live.

It depends on relationship , and most importantly to a person you know, and also as for as hist apology is seems to your right and you think that he/she do keep the promise, but as for as the love is concern love forgive everything you cant help it even if you know they lie to you.

If keep forgiving and they will keep doing it they don't seem to bothered by it, why should you or they worry. Now if it is abuse that is occuring that should never happen over and over again. It should never happen in the first place

It's in the Good Book Forgive anyone 70x7 times. At your case, forgive him, but teach him a lesson. We do not only forgive those who wrong us. You have to take action to make him learn his lesson.

Personally, I work on the "baseball theory"...three strikes and you're out. I figure everyone is entitled to one mistake, we all make them. I'll give you the second one because I care. However, once you do it a third time, you've now entered the "I have to love me enough to do what's best for me" zone, and you're outta my life. Period..the end.

once is enough, twice is too much. But i think forgiving someone twice is ok, but if they do it again and again, forgive them, but don't believe to their lies anymore.

i can forgive people if it's something minor but if they've done something really hurtful then I find it EXTREMELY hard, almost IMPOSSIBLE to forgive and I most certainly couldn't trust them ever again
