well yea the jews and romans killed jesus. i think they are worried that we still hold a grudge against them. the ones who get the most angry are probaby the hasidic jews. i live in a neighborhood filled with them and i can tell you although they are not bad peopl, they are really arrogant. they think they are perfect, so when someone says something about them like that, they get offended. go figure.

Well its not a fact because there is no proof of this. It happened 2000 years ago and the facts have got to be a little blurry.

Fact is that the Romans were in charge of Jerusalem and the people who gave out punishment were Romans.

Being Jewish myself, i can answer why we take it personally, because Jewish people pride themselves on following the 10 commandments and not to kill is high up on the list. Plus Jesus was Jewish and there would be no reason to kill one of our own and for that matter anyone else.

Jesus was just another Jew with a big mouth who was killed by the Romans for speaking up and becoming more popular than the government at the time which was the Romans.

Don't believe everything you watch by Mel Gibson and his crap movie on History which is inaccurate at best...

The statement was used widely during World War II to promote prejudice against the Jewish people. In fact it was also used by the Catholic Church at that time and has since been apologized for. The Jewish people at that time believed Jesus to be an interloper and felt he was destroying their established religion.

To be quite frank, the execution was ordered by a Roman, and requested by the Jewish leaders of that day, not the people themselves. For people to make claims that the Jewish people were responsible for the crucifixion is not accurate, in whole.

Regardless, people also tend to forget that Christ knew beforehand that He would go to the cross. Also, people tend to forget that He rose from the dead, so he is not dead, but alive.

I too, think that the Jews need to be cut some slack. And anyone who would be cruel enough to blame the Jews for something that was predestined to happen, is shameful.

Using the words "Bible" and "fact" in the same sentence is not a good indication of an objective mind but here goes.

How would you feel if your name was Barney and it was suggested by a religous group that Barney had killed the son of their god? Now while your parents could have prevented you being called Barney that option is not open to people of the Jewish faith.

One can only assume that the suggestion in the Bible that Jesus was betrayed by a Jew was on attempt to direct Christian hatred towards that group. By the way I think it worked.

It was the Roman government and the Jewish leaders that called for his death. It was when they presented Jesus with the murderer Barbarus and the people who a week before were calling him a King were screaming for him to be put to death. Why they find offensive? Maybe you should ask a Jew and find out!

They were a part of the execution of Jesus, along with the Roman rulers.
However, Jesus, in his dying breath said "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

The Romans where there also and if we where there we would have done it too.

It was our sin that Jesus die for

The good news is He is alive because he rose from the dead in power
