If I said I'm going to write about something that's happened to you, what story would you tell me?

If you were my journal left under lock and key. then you would know what I would give to thee. but you are not my journal nor am I to be fooled. If stories a novel make then my stories are keep sake. they are written by my pen. they may not be published or told when needed, there is always that market for treasures and gold. my gold and my treasures may not glitter as well, in the man made light of a sell. my treasures are best shown when the night has come for then their light can truly last long.A.M.H.

Well, having been around for 64 years, I've experienced a fair number of novel-like incidents:

1. Being in Vietnam and having to be medivaced to Japan.
2. Residing in a "loony-bin" for a few weeks, finally getting tired of being there and just walking away (Yes, I AM an escaped lunatic.)
3. Being in Iran shortly before, during and after the "Islamic Revolution" there.
4. Being in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm (1991) and being "Scudded" by about 50 of Saddam's missles.
5. Being in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia during the invasion of Iraq (2003) and when all the terrorist "compound bombings" took place following that.

Sometimes I feel a little like Forrest Gump.

ah... I got hit by a car. :D While running across the street from a park/playground, to catch an ice cream truck... thats when it happened. I wasn't too smart, for I didn't look around, but, amazingly, at age 8, I survived. It was hit and run, alas...
but maybe I should tell you the car was going 10 mph,
and I just got up again, from being knocked down.
Without a bruise.
Oh well.
But there was this other time that I really could have been seriously hurt.
Alas, my stupid-headed-ness carried through with me to the 8th grade. As I could see, across the wide Bay st., my bus was about to leave, and I would be late for school, once again! So I ran-- the car I thought was far away, was really almost speeding down the road, and so, as I ran, it nearly hit me, leaving skid marks...
well, rest assured, I didn't get hit, and even caught my bus!
Thats all for today, folks!
