I mean, I know everyone has their own ways of making relationships work, but it seems counterintuitive that a 20+ year relationship involving children could be functioning while Gene adds to his supposed 4,500 women. I'd like to think that he's just flirting with all those girls that come on to him and nothing more, but somehow I really don't think so. Does anybody know?

It's evident that Gene and family have a few "off limits" parts of their everyday life the "Family Jewels" camera crews aren't allowed to really look into. Gene's (alleged) sexual adventures (outside his life union with Shannon) clearly is one of them. Gene surely controls what the cameras depict when he's around all those gorgeous women.....but up to that line and never beyond.
You gotta respect that, and he's deserving SOME privacy. I mean, after all: he IS allowing US to have a really good look into his and his family's life on any given day.
It's evident Gene and Shannon have well worked out such details that w/out the legal binds of today's marriage, they resonately DO love each other---and are more closer a family than most ALL families currently are. Maybe these two are doing something we all can tear a page off from their book ( literally ) and learn a lot from.

I think that there is a difference I think that he is monogamous to Shannon but it is part of his image that he has to have two or more pretty girls surrounding him at all times, they in turn make him look good. But I mean he and Shannon are together and raised the two children together, and their relationship as portrayed in the reality show the love each other and seem happy together. I think it's all for image the one where he lost his black book in a taxi in New York and thee woman that got it back to him he rewarded her buy giving her some very valuable collectors items, not steamy sex. I think that now he is faithful to Shannon, I hope anyway. I like the show and will keep watching!!

the only thing I can think of that is worse then that, would be having to make the kids with him! Anyhow, to each their own...maybe she gets her's on the side as well.

he's all talk these days. he puts on a show because it's expected by all the fans, but he comes home to momma every night.
