Your description is too vague to offer any ideas on. I havn't really looked into any web sites, there are many good books about it out there. You need to keep in mind though, that the interpretaions offered, whether they be here, on a web site, or in a book, are only an opinion on the part of an author, and not an authority. It is up to you to meditate on the symbols offered, and determine what meanings the symbols hold for you personally. Depending on your point of view, a spider could be an object of fear or poison, or it could be a symbol of Fate, weaving the tapestry of your life. Only you know for sure. It is not only about the individual meaning of a symbol, you have to look at how the symbols fit in the over all context of the dream, how you or others are reacting to it, the setting, the overall tone of the dream. This is why I can't offer you any ideas, because I don't know where you were or what you were doing when the spider bit you, where it bit you, or how you or anyone else in the dream reacted to it. I have been keeping a dream log since 1986, and still can't get a line on some of my own personal symbols.... It is a personal language known only to you, people can only offer you ideas on perceived meanings.
Edit: ARE means the Association for Research and Enlightenment. It is located in Virginia Beach, VA. It was founded by Edgar Cayce, aka "the sleeping prophet", and his followers who research the materials he channeled. Cayce channeled a considerable amount of material from a sleeping state, and some of that material pertains to dreams, and he wrote books on dreams and dream interepretation, I have some of them in my own collection. Again I will say, that ultimately it depends on what a particular symbol means to you, regardless of what others say it means, books etc are useful tools to get you started, but if you had a pet tarantula when you were a child, you would still have a much different outlook on spiders, than you would if for example, you were bitten by a Black Widow, and had to spend time in the hospital for it.

The site I use for fun and curiosity is at www.swoon.com

Or...

simply type in "dreaming at swoon" in the yahoo search engine and it will directly place you there. Type in the dream and it will give you the clear cut meaning.

Happy dreaming Hon!
