You need self discipline.
My seven year old daughter does her homework while waiting for the schoolbus. Her reason? so that when she gets home she will have lots of time to play.
Have your goals and meet them only you can help yourself. No matter how many advise we give you.

Set aside 1 hour per evening, then plan the rest of your evening around the family, t.v. ,sports, football, chatting with your pals.If you still have homework left , finish it on the bus going to school or ask the teacher for more time to complete it.Setting a plan is always the best way. Having a lot of homework is eating into your privacy and relaxation time. But deciding on hour an evening is putting you back in control. Plan A --- arrive home, sit down for 1/2 an hour, have dinner, help mum in the kitchen, watch TV for a little while, 1 hour for homework, then go out and see your friends. You can build your home work up by 5 minutes every evening.1st evening, 1 hour, 2nd. 1hr 5Min's, 3rd, 1 hour 10 Min's .etc.Adding on 5 mins every day is only giving you 5 mins extra timewise. This plan may work for you because its not so over facing it follows the Adage of "From Acorns do mighty Oak Trees grow. Good luck.Lindsay Jane TEFL TEACHER.

Here is an idea that worked for me when iwas going through the same problem.
I took time after school to sit and relax or go out and play for a set period of time , basically one hour. I would comne i and do the little things of homework assignments and prepare for supper.
Once supper was over ,I would let my meal igest and then work on the rest of my homework until I was done. This would take me to 10:00 pm or bedtime.(study time was from 7 pm-10pm)5 minutes per hour break to rest eyes and brain.
I hope this will help you.

Make sure you have a good well lit space for your homework. Grab yourself a snack and head straight to the books. Plan a schedule and stick to it.Always check your diary f or what you need to do.If its research for assignments and projects do it a bit each day. If its just reading then read in bed or whenever you have spare time. With tests then get a family member help you revise like I do with my daughter. We set a time to go over her spelling test before she catches the bus.Hope it helps. Have a plan of what you want to do with your life. That helps.

I set really low goals for myself then get a huge boost of self esteem when I surpass them. No really, I actually do.
Caffeine is also good.

i am supposed to be a 'straight A student'...but unfortunately for me, i faile last year at school because of my lack of concentration. Ask yourself this question: when you leave school, do you want to be a garbage collector or a lawyer? £20,000 a year or £80,000 a year??? its your choice
