As long as you didn't get caught, get over it.

Guilt can eat you alive. If you are asking this question you are carrying alot of guilt on your shoulders. My suggestion is depending on the issue, talk to a counsellor some body who has no ties to you what so ever. Where everything is confidential. To speak to someone not involved lifts this weight and you could find a solution to the problem. If not and you let this keep smouldering on inside you, your mind will start causing you to become physically and mentally unwell.
All the best dont let it bet you.

hmm... i wouldnt agree with the first statement. if you didnt get caught, doesnt mean what you did is justifiable. What you should really do is find a way to 'apologize' by that i mean, if you did something to someone or such, then find a way of letting them know youre sorry, to lift the weight off your chest. If this isnt possible, then do something related to what you did, but in a positive sense, such as helping people who have encountered/suffered something similar. Do something positive, make someone happy, do whatever works for you, so when you are done, you are satisfied that through learning what you did made you feel guilty, you have become a better person.

Hope you cope with it all

God forgives, man don't. But history is what it is. You can only change your future. You can apologise, but will it help the person you wronged? Don't do it to lift the weight off of you. And if the wronged has gotten past it, there would be no reson to bring the hardship back in thier lap. Use your guilt to keep you from wanting to do evil. And leave the past behind you.

I think the only way to rid yourself from past guilt is to forgive yourself and anyone else involved, then put the past behind you. There are some things in life we can't change and the past is one of them. Realize that the past is gone and you can't take back what you did, did'nt do or what you said, so forgive yourself and let the past be the past. Learn from those mistakes and use that knowledge when making future decisions.

You can either resolve the guilt by facing the victim and take any consequences as they come. Or erase the incident from your memory, there are techniques available. Or just accept it as a mistake you have to carry.

Scrabble, it will depend a great deal on what it was you did... some things can be easily apologized for... other's can not... Is there a way to make amends??

As you are now feeling getting away with it.. didn't help you in the least... now it's time to figure out how to make amends and move on...

good luck

What's in the past stays in the past. Did you learn from the experience? Forgive yourself and do something appropriate to amend for whatever you did. For example, if you stole something, donate to charity. If you were unkind then, be kind now. You've acknowledged your behaviour. It's time to move forward.

From what I see in the world today:

If you're of a christian faith, pray to God, himself and he can remove your guilt.

If you're not of a christian faith, just claim that you did it in the name of God and you should automatically be removed of any guilt.

If you're a satinist or an atheist, you wouldn't even be asking this question because they have no guilt.
