While I do think that nothing can beat life experience to gain wisdom, these days it's hard to get anywhere without a college education. They are both important and we learn important life lessons from both.

In my opinion, I think that both educations are proper and equivalent to a human's life. First of all, let's say that there's this man who went to medical school but never became a doctor; he was in a restaurant when the man next to him is choking. The victim's wife screams for a doctor and no one answers but the man who went to medical school springs into action and he winds up saving this man's life. It's the knowledge that sticks with the man even though he didn't go into that profession. Another situation is let's say there was this young woman who was dating this guy and she thought they were getting serious when she sees another woman leave his house on her way there, she feels hurt and distraught so she breaks up with him. Over the time of her break up, she feels so heartbroken that she feels like she’ll do that to everyone else she dates but little does she know, the next man she meets is the One & she hurts him like she was hurt before. He confronts her about and she realizes just how much he cares and that he is the One, so she decides to end her ways after thinking about how much she was hurt in the past.
~ The moral of these stories is: Experience is the best education because no matter what you’ve learned and no matter where you’ve learned it - It’ll come in handy and you’ll learn from it to create a better person and a better you.

No. It is the only part of the education. Being taught or Reading leads to doing. Doing gives us Experience.

I think so. I went to school to become a veterinary technician. You need the class room education to learn about different diseases and treatments. But you CAN'T learn how to draw blood, give injections, place catheter ect. without first hand experience. And even with the diseases and medications, it doesn't really all click until you get first hand experience with it, and see if for youself. This is what I have found from my experience.

Yes and no. Anyone will tell you that the best way to learn something is to experience it. However in the job world a degree is equivalent to 5 years experience.

I think so, I have much more expierence in the work place than any of my friends in college, and I KNOW I make WAY more money than they do. The company I work for values experience over Education, alot of the time.

yes i think so, if you experience something you learn it and it gets imprinted in your brain so if the same situation comes on later you'll know by instinct what you should do. experience and learning is growth.

I think experience is invaluable but on the other hand it pays to have something on paper, when you are being interviewed and assessed!!!
