I can start with this Lily, what Religion are you? Our church has a young persons group and they have get together every week, they also have singles night for people like you. This is a good way to meet people instead of the bar scene or, the Internet.
I'm sure your city has groups that meet socially for singles also, ours does. Look around, you've already took the first steps. How about school? a sewing club? craft club?

If I was single and in MA, I would be intersted. and I would fit the age range.
