i usually just grow peppers because they are so expensive at the store and i eat them daily. any other suggestions that are easy to grow and are not alot of work.

I have a big garden so I grow a lot of sweet corn.
I love tomatoes right off the plant, too.
The easiest thing to grow, besides weeds, is zucchini. I hate zucchini bread, but I like it grilled, batter dipped and deep fried, or fried in butter with onions.

Radishes are fun, tomatoes are expensive but they are alot of work. Ooh plant Pumpkins that will be great, grow a real big one.

Depends upon where you are. How about something unusual such as Japanese radishes? Sugar beets? Raspberries grow like weeds and need almost no work.

Squash and okra are very easy to grow. My squash last year was fantastic.

cucumbers, tomatoes, okra, herbs are also easy, basil, oregano, mint, etc etc ........you can also plant marigolds in between every other plant they help keep the bugs out naturally!
