My brother has always looked and acted like a normal person. In all the years I've known him I never suspected that he was hiding a horrible secret, but tonight, tearfully, he told me the whole truth: He's a REPUBLICAN!
I honestly don't know where to turn.

Be there for him when he realizes that his chosen lifestyle is erroneous; have the courage to endure his ignorance and stupidity... after all, would you love him any less if he is finally classified retarded? Love and patience will persevere and win out in the final analysis when he realizes how his chosen lifestyle encourages and promotes lies, deceits and corruption and cronyism amongst the least competent and capable, and allows party favoritism for purposes of profiteering and how it runs counter to the spirit of the Constitution. HELP him keep his shameful secret; don't betray his trust. There's hope; medical science and the field of psychiatry are making great strides everyday, even as you read this. Be strong. Be firm. He ain't heavy, he's your brother.

Oh dear I feel very sorry for you. Everyone knows that being a republican is a choice you make based on your environment. It's unnatural and unhealthy. It promotes unusual and harmful lifestyles that children can easily pick up on. You should talk to him and let him know that he is not alone and there are camps out there that can cure him of this horrible syndrome before it's too late for him.
Remember, there will be people praying for you tonight, and I hope that you can help us eradicate this horrible "republican" choice once and for all.

I know it takes time to adjust to the right way of thinking, but give yourself a few years, like maybe 10, at the least, and you will come to understand that your brother is smarter than you. It is hard to accept when reality hits, that you have been wrong your whole life, politically. Let your brother help you face the RIGHT way, and it will be easier for you to turn the RIGHT way. I realize that it takes democrats, and liberals years to grow a brain, but with your brother's help, you'll do fine. Republicans will leave the light on for you!

I feel your pain. It's going to be okay. Take a deep breath, maybe smoke some (medical) pot to relieve the headache that he has now thrust upon you. It's hard to be in this position, but you must have seen it coming...did he hug his George W. pic? Didn't you see him sneer at the gay marriage debate? Counselling may help, but you may have to resort to having him deprogrammed. I would however send him out of the country on a nice vacation, maybe in November 2008. It's all we can ask you to do. My thoughts are with you.

hahahahahahaha. My fiancee is a Republican. She loves George Bush. I'm not even joking, I'm not allowed to say anything bad about his policies. She takes it personally so I feel your pain.
I love her, what can I do. I can post on here though cuz she's away at special military training. She's hopeless on the political front.

perhaps he just isn't seeing how the American people are being ripped off Has he watched the PBS special"Capital Crimes" about Jack Abramoff? That's a very powerful documentary. There is still hope. Keep communicating with him. This is nothing a big dose of facts can't cure eventually I hope he doesn't refuse that medication.
