it is now classed as a dwarf planet
a dwarf planet is defined as a body which satisfies 4 criteria
1 is in orbit around the Sun
2 has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (near-spherical) shape
3 has not cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit
4 is not a satellite
The major difference between Pluto and a planet is Pluto shares its orbit with other objects (over 800 and still counting).
It is one of many objects in the kupiter belt
There are 3 dwarf planets Eris Pluto and Ceres and pluto is not the biggest Eris is! if pluto is a planet then there would be 2 more planets to add to the solar system

Its a planet but scientists LIKE big fancy words so they deemed it a planetoid, I mean it has its own orbit and a moon for crying out loud what are they thinking :S
