Have you ever felt passionate about something, and people just didn't understand your point of view. What do you wish people would understand and have more tolerance for?

I just wish people understood each other better. That all people have the same strength of feeling, that everyone feels at times sad, happy, excited, angry, hurt etc regardless of their colour, religion, use of a wheelchair or whatever

I own a Pit Bull. I rescued her from an animal shelter. When people hear the word 'pit bull' they immediately think that my dog is aggressive. But she is the sweetest dog ever. She has changed MANY people's minds about pit bulls. I wish people would understand that there is an owner behind the dog. Any dog breed can become aggressive in the wrong hands (I was attacked by a golden retriever) and any dog breed can be a loving family companion in the right hands. The problem isn't the breed, but the owner behind the breed. And the problem with pit bulls is that they often end up in the wrong hands. I'm not saying not to be cautious around a dog you don't know, but I would like it if people would at least give them a chance. My dog doesn't deserve to be euthanized just because of her breed, and I know many more pit bulls just like mine.
My feelings about pit bulls also goes towards racism. I can't stand racism for the same reason. EVERY person is an individual. You can't categorize people, and say that all people in this category are the same.... It is just not true, we need to treat everyone as an Individual!

Yes! I have. I'm a firm believer that different cultures exist so that we can learn from one another. Nothing pains me more than hearing negative comments about people of Arab desecent. From the towel head jokes to the terrorist comments, it gets more and more irritating as time continues on. I made an effort when I started college to study the Middle East, Arabic and Islam not because of any potential wars or anything like that but because I am a firm believer that peace can only be obtained through understanding and I wish more people would put aside their negative aprehensions towards people from the Middle East (American's in particular, I am an American living in the "bible belt" and hear negativity all the time) and start trying to gain an understanding of their culture.
People just can't seem to understand that not all Muslims are Arab, Not all Arabs are Muslim, Not all people from the Middle East are terrorists, not all terrorists are from the Middle East. Not all Muslims are terrorists, not all terrorist are Muslim, Get my point?!?!.

I could make a long wish list, but I will just say I want people to respect diversity, have at least tolerance for others. and maybe even learn to appreciate the differences.
Also I wish people would understand the depth of damage being done to the planet and do their part to stop it.

I wished that people would have a better understanding for how others feel and see things. and I wished people understand that animals have feelings to, and i wished that people would understand that a parents love is need in a child's life.

How their behavior affects other people. I wish people would just stop mistreating each other & communicate better, & have more tolerance for peoples differences, of opinion, sizes, styles,. Kids drive me crazy with the way they mistreat other kids because they are different, they should be taught not to mistreat each other & to love everyone & know that peoples differences are what make them special. People are always making fun of other people, & I hate that . They need to just learn to accept other people for who they are.

Animals and their need for love and affection as well as good food and healthcare. When I see a dog tied up in someone's yard with no shelter it just breaks my heart.
