i am even catholic confirmed. but i find myself questioning my religion quite often nowadays. I may sound like a hypocrite in this a few times, but try to overlook it. I love God. But is there really God? The bible could've been written by a bunch of guys who wanted to create a religion..i dont know. Maybe Im sinning right now, just by questioning catholocism. Who knows the REAL truth? what if the people going to church every sunday are wasting their time? what if people that dont believe in God will burn in hell? If there was adam and eve, what about evolution? hard evidence outweighs belief to me..maybe its the belief in God that matters. I dont want to get struck by lightning tomorrow. I dont think God wants us to live in fear of H/him. I hate singing at church. people are falling asleep at church, why do they go? what happens to us after we die? do you believe in kharma? im asking alotta q's. but i dont want to burn in hell. but i also dont want to worship a fake idol my whole life

Slow down man, it'll be fine.

Nothing is wrong with questioning beliefs, either your own or those of others. You say that hard evidence outweighs belief and I think that is an excellent place to start.

You say you don't want to burn in Hell. I tell you that if you simply do your best to discover what is right using all the mental powers you have and the evidence you can find, then you have nothing to fear from a just God. If you do your honest best to find the truth and you still get sent to Hell, then God is without justice and there is nothing you could have done about it anyway.

"I don't know" is a perfectly valid standpoint when you don't have the evidence necessary to come to a conclusion. Indeed, with a lack of evidence, it's the only valid one. My advice: Don't believe anything you have no reason that you can understand to believe, and don't do something you have no reason that you can understand to do. If you don't see a reason to sing in church and you don't want to, don't. If you don't see a reason to go, then don't.

Whatever you do, do your honest best with it and no just person, God or otherwise, can fault you for that. Good luck, man.

I was raised Catholic too but i'm atheistic till the end . Don't be so intimidated by fear tactics there is nothing in the world wrong with intelligent thinking . After courage and determination carries you to free thought you will discovery the knowledge and enlightenment that will make you smile in contentment and the satisfaction that you were correct . And the confusion and discontentment will be gone . I don't see any lightning bolts comeing my way either . Think if there was a god he'd give you a brain so you couldn't use it ?

I am a catholic too and i have struggled with my faith but for different reasons.I see so many reports and know people who have been abused by priests...it's everywhere.I believe that they should allow them to marry.I know married couples who have been told to go to a priest for counselling. What the heck do they know about marriage? How can you council
a couple not knowing the first thing about experiencing marriage. And if they allowed priests to marry then maybe they can stop getting blamed or charged with sexual abuse. As far as God goes I believe in him but we all deal with the what ifs.I loved my dad dearly and i'm hoping to see him some day and i think i will not because i know i will but because i have blind faith and i think that's how you need to feel about god...trust yourself and your own heart ....let that be your guide and trying different religions isn't a sin.Doubt is the biggest obstacle we face when it comes to God and heaven.Do you watch Ghost Whisperer on friday nights? You should and the shows are based on the experiences of James Van Praagh....get his book Talking To Heaven...i think it might make you feel better.I too now and again doubt things''like is my life going somewhere when i die or is this it''.Well I think i prefer afterlife and just in case make the life you have happy and meaningful.....Happy Easter and god bless

I am a recovered Catholic....Yes I believe in Karma....What I do today effect my being tomorrow. If I send out good vibrations or think positive things positive vibrations come back to me & vice versa. What happens to us after we die....no one alive knows the true answer....Im hoping it's not permanent. That our spirit or soul moves on to out planes of existence.

That's a really good question. I begin to wonder that myself. I do believe in Jesus Christ and God, but I wonder if there really is a heaven. What if there was no god. There is no us. It makes you zone out and think, "Wow.... So what am I?..."
