At police stations in my town they give free birth control, and since you are over 18 you can go to a doctor and they cant tell your mom about your records and what you talked about. You can have your mom make an appointment for a "check up" then just ask for some birth control.

Keep in mind that NO birth control method is 100% effective if you are using no protection (condoms). You are old enough to get the pill on your own, at 19 in the U.S. you are considered an adult and can go to the doctor, get examined and get a prescription for birth control all by yourself. Keep in mind that birth control pills do NOT protect against HIV, STDS or HPV and just becuase he SAYS he doesn't have any of those doesn't mean he has been tested with HIV it may not show up on tests for 10 to 15 years but he could still be carrying the disease and as long as he carries it the disease IS contagious...meaning YOU will get it. STDS usually show up sooner but in females may go un noticed until it's too late. Some women have lost the ability to concive due to an undetected STD and STDS cause irrepribal damage to internal organs as well as the brain. HPV is caused by skin to skin contact and there literally is NO protection against it. It used to be thought that one had to have an outbreak in order to be contagious but that theory has been proven to be false, one who has HPV is contagious all of the time. HPV is a major cause of Cervical cancer in women and can result in having to undergo a hysterectomy...HPV like HIV can go undetected for years but the carrier is still contagious. My advice is to make sure your boyfriend remains covered even if you are on birth control. It's one thing to have to face your parents with "I'm pregnant" it's another one to have to face them with "I have AIDS and am going to die".

If you don't want to ask your mom, go to the doctor yourself! You're over 18, so they cannot share your medical records with her. If you don't want to go to the doctor, go to a Planned Parenthood or your local health department. But, whatever you do, DO IT NOW!! What's worse? Thinking about asking your mom for birth control, or telling her you're pregnant?!

your over 18 you don't need her to get it for you just go to the doctor and tell them what you want. if your to immature to get it your self then you should stop having sex. i went when i was 16 and i went alone and got it grow up, god if you want to have sex then get the pills your self and grow up sorry to be mean but come on your 19 an adult act like one

You don't need you mom to get birth control since you are over 18. Just go to your doctor or planned parenthood. they will hep you.

Go to your nearest Planned Parenthood. They are inexpensive and you don't need medical insurance to go to them. They will set you up with everything you need and you won't have to go through your mom. I'm assuming you needed to go through her for insurance purposes? Good luck. I hope that helped.

be an adult. if your mature enough to have sex, be responsible enough to protect yourself. go to the doctor! and if you still need to talk to your mom, make sure she understands that you would rather be safe then sorry.
