Typically a dr will state that you should go on easy detail of chores and such for about 6 weeks after you deliver. You can work until you deliver if you want. When I worked and was pregnant I worked until I went into labor. I also went back to work a week later. Some places will give you 6 weeks paid leave and some will give you 6 weeks unpaid.
Now that said, you alone can judge your body and know when doing whatever activities are best for you. Personally I took about a week of easy tasks and then was back to normal. Some ladies take longer.

when i was pregnant i worked up until the 22nd of december and was due january 13th, i had no problems working for the longest time. those last couple of weeks i worked though were kind of tough. i would get tired and want to sit down. but, and this is a big but, everyone is different, my doctor told me that i could work up until the day i was due. i probably could have made it, but to be honest, i was lazy. as long as you feel up to doing those everyday tasks at home and at work, go for it. believe me the money helps. hope this helped and congrats on the soon to be baby.

It doesnt sound like you wanna rest up at all!!!
Yes you can work up until you are due as long as there are no complications. And im quite sure you can get back to normal with in a week if you have a normal delivery

i worked up until i was due with my first one and right now i'm still working and i'm due with my second child in 2 weeks. depends on what type of delivery you have and how quickly you heal i guess. i would say that even the strongest woman would still have to take at least 2 weeks off after having a child. it wrecks your body and it takes a while to get it back to normal.

It really depends on what your doctor says. Every woman/case is unique. Ask your doc and see what he says.
I know that my mom worked until the day before she had me and went back to work a week later.
