The only trick you need...DO NOT connect the wires (2 Whites, 2 Blacks) directly to the outlets. Take your 2 blacks, twist them together with another short black wire (6 inches), cap with a wire-nut, and attach the jumper wire to the outlet. Same with the whites and greens. You should have no more than three wires on each outlet. Any other way is a violation of the National Electrical Code..

You have three questions in a row about wiring. You obviously do not know enough about it to safely do any wiring in your house. The way you gain this knowledge???? Go to trade school, apprentice for four years and get your license.
You won't think the money you saved by not hiring a pro was a good deal when you kill your family by burning your house.

As Genny said, remember your ground wire.
Also, make sure the power is off. Or if running a new circuit, make the last connections at the breaker panel.
Work safely, and keep your connections tight.

15 amp circuits use 14/2 wire (white)
.20 amp circuits use 12/2 wire (yellow)
You have to use 12/2 in bathrooms and kitchens, or for outside circuits and anywhere there may be moisture, like for the garage.

black is your hot wire.........not like on a car were black is ground.
i say this because when hooking to the outlet it should be wired hot to hot because all new sockets have to be wired this way.
on a power cord note at the plug one blade is bigger then the other. the bigger side is ground. wire your outlet that way...
