I was about 12 when Santa didn't bring me what I wanted, a tv for my room. This was 30 years ago. Not many kids had tv's then.
I was so disappointed. But, I agree with some of the other answers. There really is a Santa. Santa doesn't have to bring you presents. Santa just makes you enjoy the holiday spirit and makes you feel more love in the year than normal.
Santa shouldn't be about presents. Santa should be about love and family togetherness. I think Santa does bring a lot of families together during the holidays.

Ten, but then in my mid twenties, I found out there really is a Santa Claus. Santa is a symbol of the ancient god, Odwin. He flies throught the night sky, like on the Wild Hunt. He spends time with elves and dwarves, who labor for him. He is all-knowing, he knows how you have been behaving. He wears red and live far to the north.

I was 6 yrs old, and I caught my parents putting the gifts under the tree, that was a big tip-off that there was no Santa. But I pretended to believe for a while longer to make my parents feel better.

It was a sad day..I was just about seven. A friend told me and I remember feeling betrayed by the fact our parents teach us this LIE! But, yes as a parent I play along though, have learned to answer with- "Well, do you think He is real? I guess if you think he is then maybe he is!" I have also always made the best attempt to make the kids understand that Jesus is the real reason for Christmas, same goes for Easter as well!

Ha.. I was in Second grade, and I don't remember the context of what was being discussed but all I remember was the teacher saying " Now everyone knows there is no Santa Clause right?". What teacher does that. Till this day I'll never forgive her.

About 6-8 years old. I just knew he wasn't real anymore and laughed at myself for being such a greedy little kid for writing all those long gift lists. If there was one, I bet 80% of the kids in the world would not get a pressie.

About 6 it was no big deal. I had always had my suspicions and would set traps out for Santa and the Easter Bunny.

My parents never told me there was a Santa Claus. They wanted me to think for myself.
That didn't stop me from enjoying the holidays any less.
