Well, It's a Fairy Tale! Anything could happen. The answer could come in the form of rain from heaven or whatever. Maybe the Beast inhales a whiff of spring pollen that was used to imprison him. Just use your imagination and the story line and you will do fine.

Either read Beauty and the Beast, or simply watch the pap that Disney Studios put out and called Beauty and the Beast.
Given the fact that I think the original tale is a Grimms tale, it has a sad ending, with the Beast dying. (Most of Grimms tales deal with things like bestiality or necrophilia, or other "objectionable" practices.)
Remember, Disny bad, original tales / story / history / etc good!
(The little mermaid in Hans Christian Anderson's original tale dies.)

The whole point of the story is to show that appearances are not important The only ending I can suggest that would work for your story is that he finally turns into a full human being in his last minutes before death.

Perhaps the beast isn't real beast, he is actually a human.
Please don't mind Sonia, but the story is a bit typical (Sorry again), but it doesn't means you can't create a good and unique story. Just try again, and try to do something different (a different and unique story).

OK well we all know the original ending of how it was that she learned to love him and he, her but it's now the 22nd century I say if he was cursed that belle hunts down the witch and persuades her to take it back however if it was just a force of nature I say she finds a Wicca witch and gets her to cast a spell allowing them to be together in human form for the remainder of there lives

Have the beast battle w/ the desire of either malling or loving the beauty. His decision will determine how he spends his eternity. With her or with fur.

if it were true love it wouldnt matter if he remained a beast, and that would be the whole beauty about it.
