i have been putting vagisil on it and it has seem to take away the redness but not the itchyness, i really need some help

yes, consults your doctor immediately ! They are professional n trained to help you or any other patient. Don't be shy because doctors have seen/touch/treat/cut/stitch...... a human body countless times.
go to a lady doctor n getting a friend along would definitely help to calm you down ! just go n see/talks to them as though they are your friend too ! Take proper action now n not suffer in silence, ok ? take good care of your health with the assistants of a doctor !

You need to see the dr to have this evaluated. They can help you figure out if you have a yeast infection going on that may require something stronger than the Vagisil.
