Well, considering that months only have either 28, 30, or 31 days (no, I'm not counting leap years), taking out the 7 that have 31 leaves 5, and taking out the 1 (Febuary) that has 28, leaves 4 months with 30 days.

There are 4 with 30 days...

30 days has September, April, June & November. Allthe rest have 31, except February which has 28 or 29 depending on leap year.

Forget the answer, that's easy.
The fun part is the mnemonic (memory) rhyme that helps you remember it:

Thirty days has September
April, June and November...

When you know all the rest have 31, and February has only 28 (an one more every fourth year), you know them all.

So the answer is : four months have only thirty days;
and a fifth has even less; while seven have 31 days
exactly--January, March, May, July, August, October, and December.

there are 4 months w/ only 30 days--April, June, Sept. and Nov. . All but Feb. have at least 30 days ( Feb. has 28 except for leap year-every 4 yrs-- 29days )
Thats like the one "what two coins equal 30 cents-and one of them isn't a nickle?"
