I never go against my team no matter what. I can't bring myself to do it. I always root for the Orioles regardless of weather they are 20 games above or 20 games below 500. As long as they are playing I root for them. I just can't bring myself to "switch allegiances." The same with the Ravens weather or not they finish 6-10, or 13-3 as long as they play, I never root against my team.

However like Silverblack though, if my team doesn't make the playoffs or gets eliminated, I usually pick a team that I like and hope that they win.

No way. I'm a Yankee fan, always have been. I've seen the great years, and also remember the late 80s and early 90s when they were awful. You have to stay with your team through thick and thin.

BTW, I do see a lot more people wearing Boston Red Sox gear in my area than I did before 2004. And they call Yankee fans front runners!

Never switched, but when my team (red sox) are out I always have a favorite NL team to take interest in. Never another AL team no matter how bad the boys can be or have been.

Not permanently. If my team doesn't make the playoffs I usually pick the lesser of the rest of the evils that I want to win in the playoffs. Then if that team loses I gotta switch to the next lesser of evils and so on. But when the playoffs are over I can't wait to cheer on my team the next season.

No, but if the white sox get eliminated from the playoffs I will select a team to root for for the rest of the way, usually another american league team.

That's called a fair-weather fan. My team is the 'Stros, win or lose. Unfortunately losing most of the time. A real fan sticks with their team through thick or thin.

I never have. The only thing that would make me do that is if I feel the ownership is doing a bad job and giving the fans the shaft and therefore doesn't deserve my loyalty.

No, and anyone that does has serious issues, if you love your team, you love them thru thick and thin. I have been to every home opener in Detroit since I was 4, wether they were good or bad, my butt was planted in the seat

Sure I used to root for Nebraska until Tom Osbourn left and Nebraska never won a single game since.

No, those fans are known as bandwagon fans. Those fans are not loyal and I can bet do not know much about their "new" team to follow.
