In which of the following would silver chloride be most soluble and why?

b)1 M HCL

Doubt you need to know this, but Ksp = 1.7*10^-10.

Due to common-ion effect
i)silver chloride is less soluble in CaCl2 & HCl due to common chlorine
ii)The same case occurs in AgNO3 where Ag+ is the common ion

So it is explicit that AgCl is freely soluble in K2CO3.

b, c and d have all got one ion in common with AgCl, so we eliminate those.
