You can be "Cruel to be kind" but your way definately isn't the one!
The guys have feelings too, ya know! Have some Dignity and tell the guy there's no hope and you can have a clear conscience, at least and get on with your life! Wouldn't that be better..... really?

Some people love the one their with so much that they're willing to put up with anything just to be near them. He'd rather look the other way and live in denial than to lose you. Most women only dream of having a man that loves them that much. Why don't you put your big girl panties on and tell him you don't want to be with him so he can go find a woman who will deserve him. You obviously don't.

I think you are wandering into very dangerous territory. If his fixation with you is unhealthy, look for a domestic abuse shelter or hotline and have them help you to come up for a safety plan for yourself.
You might think you will never need it, and hopefully you won't, but too many situations like yours (an obsessed man, a cheating woman) end up in tragedy. You can do this anonymously, and they will not contact you afterwards if you don't want them to.

if she really does not want him around then she does not have
to cheat just tell him that she does not want him that all. being
honest is the best thing. but it sound like she just using this
as excuse to have her cake as well as her pie. trust me if
you dont want something you know how to get rid of it
