I'm currently a nursing student, but I might want to venture out to do something else. I just don't know what. Can anyone give me some ideas.

Nurses can make alot of money too. The real money is in specialty fields. Like cardiovascular nurses, etc. You should look into that. Try Googling it.

My advice would be to do something in sales. Unfortunately, sales is not for everyone and it can be challenging. However, being in sales gives a person soo much variety as far as the type of environment you could work in.

There are business to business sales people. Pharmaceutical sales people which is very lucrative and others. The thing about sales is that everything is sales. Have you ever gone to a college fair in high school? That is all sales right there. A military recruiter, nothing but sales. Than there are job fairs, most people don't look at it this way but that is all about sales too.. they want to sale themselves to the brightest people they can.

If you think you are cut out for sales and you are good with people and likable. Than give it a taste and market yourself the best way you can to get to that top dollar...

Good luck!

Almost anything you could think of, if you can find yourself in the right place at the right time!

If you want to move to Portugal and open a garage & auto-body place, you can have over a million US in your pocket in a few short years.

If you can convince someone who owns one to sign it over to you in their will just before they die, McDonalds owners pull-in $100k per year as a MINIMUM!

If you're exceptionally good at it, and enjoy sales, Amway.

If you graduate at the top of your class, and find the right job as some rich person's personal nurse, you can make a crap load of money. You can also take a Valedictory postion right into a major company or Government Organisation...

Heck...you can knit scraves and sell them on e-bay and make your millions that way if you want!

Seriously...you can make good money...and possibly loose it all...in almost anything!

If you want to, find-out when the next franchise fair is in your area and attend. Just don't finalise anything until AFTER you do some research into the candidates you are interested in. However, always remember that you've just bought yourself a job when you buy a franchise.

The most lucrative positions are in Investment Banking. Hedge fund managers frequently make millions of dollars a year.

The competition for these positions is intense.

do you just not like nursing in general, or do you like it, but want to make more money doing it?
Depending on where you live, nursing (RN) salaries can start in excess of 80k (california, e.g. bay area). After several years, you can easily make close to six figures.
