I am asking a question about general Chinese traditions, involving family, life perspective, and economics. If anyone can also inform me of the Chinese traditions of the same category, that are evident or followed in the Philippines. Thank you so much.

this is too complicated to give you a simple short answer on..it's taken me years of study to learn mandarin and some chinese culture..sorry I don't know how to give you the abbreviated version.

Basically, Chinese is a hardworking people.In celebrating Chinese new year, they usually will have dinner together with all of their family.During this China New Year, the married people will give 'angpau' to unmarried person.
